Part-time/Casual/Full-time Warehousing/Deliveries
Bedtek, a specialist retailer of high quality European bedding is expanding and seeking, able-bodied person with warehousing, order-picking and delivery experience to join its existing team. Successful applicants will have demonstrated experience and will join a team-oriented organisation that imports an extensive range of quality German and Swiss beds and associated products in order to offer clients specialised, first-rate, high-end sleep solution beds and related merchandise.
Bedtek prides itself on the relaxed, honest and informative atmosphere. We pride ourselves on the depth of our product knowledge and high quality sales and after-sales service. At Bedtek we work hard on helping clients find the best possible combination of products to suit their needs and we focus on building long lasting client relationships. We see a large percentage of referrals and repeat orders.
The position involves working in both our current premises in Myaree as well as our new showroom in Innaloo, which opens in April. A willingness to work in both locations is required - naturally your preferences will also be considered where possible. Product information is quite technical and learning it is essential and fun.
Specific responsibilities include:
Container emptying and stocktaking
Setting up shop displays and installations
Delivery and installation of flatpacked beds - current drivers license required
Telephone contact to delivery/installation clients
Other duties as required.
Desired qualities include:
Proven record of delivering to expectations
Interest in furniture, fashion and/or design.
High level of personal presentation
Confidence and competence in assembling flatpack furniture
Ability to learn
Multi-tasking
Team orientation
Flexibility
Good verbal English
Basic computer literacy
Desirable but not essential qualities include:
Retail experience
German language skills

Hours: Part-time probationary casual work to start with, with the intention of providing a full-time (38-hour working week) position from May/June 2009.
